FLABSLAB is a new art and design collective based in Singapore with a focus on toys and pop art.
In November, FLABSLAB will be hosting internationally acclaimed graphic artist, Arkiv Vilmansa’s first ever exhibition in Singapore. Toy enthusiasts will recognise him from the iconic ‘Arkiv Instant’ vinyl toy figurine, his redesign of Mickey Mouse for Disney Asia, and his famous ‘SUMO’ toy. This will be Singapore’s first designer toy-inspired art exhibition and an opportunity to see the works of an artist who has amassed a cult following in the toy art scene.
Over the weekend, there will be two student dialogue sessions with Arkiv and live collaborations with top local artists, EeShaun and Wanton Doodle. It would be an interesting and intimate experience for audiences to see these talented artists at work.
Be at the opening reception on 10 Nov where there will be a worldwide release of ten limited edition bronze ‘SUMO head sculptures. Light refreshments and drinks will be served. The exhibition will be held at White Canvas Gallery, 78 Guan Chuan Street, Singapore 160078
